Thanks for joining me!
My name is Phillippa.
I got started in upcycling furniture when I left teaching due to being diagnosed with M.E. I was an Art teacher, my degree was in Design. I have always had an interest in the process of making things; from the ideas to design, planning, making and evaluating the product. This has always been a passion, watching my dad build grabbed my attention. I built a go cart when I was a child and it went from there. I was teaching for 18 years and have now found my passion again. From upcycling I then took an interest in reupholstering furniture. Then I bought myself an embroidery machine with vision that I could embroider fabrics for upholstery. Take a look at my work and how the ideas for embroidery can be endless.
As well as Ellrose Embroidery, I own Ellrose Holistic Therapies, where I do Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Facial rejuvenation acupressure massage and crystal healing. I'm currently training to be a counsellor and an animal healer.
Below are some of the first pieces that I worked on. I'm now concentrating on the embroidery side of the business rather than the upholstery and upcycling.
