Combining reupholstery with embroidery
After I had been reupholstering furniture for a while, I bought my embroidery machine. The idea being to combine the two to create bespoke pieces of furniture. Here are some of my pieces I brought back to life.
There were two of these chairs, my dad found them on a bonfire. I stripped it down, made a new seat pad with one of my embroidered bee buttons in the middle, and redid the back. The wood was treated with linseed oil.
This antique piano stool was tidied up and the seat was reupholstered. The musical notes I embroidered onto the fabric.
Bespoke custom order, bedroom chair transformed into a modern chair keeping in the theme of the customers decor of bumble bees.
Two tub chairs completely reupholstered and my bespoke bee buttons added. One very happy customer.
